October/November

May 2017

May 2016

Below is the May 2016 issue of Democratic Wonderings, which includes:

*      Dates and times for early voting and general election day.

*      We examine gerrymandering and the damage done to the Eastern Shore from gerrymandering Maryland Congressional District 1.

*      We spend a good deal of space on Trump – who appears to be the winner of the Republican Party Presidential Sweepstakes.

*      We have some space devoted to Chris Van Hollen, Democratic Party Candidate for the U.S. Senate.

*      Some problems with major corporations are noted.

*      Poverty on the Eastern Shore is discussed, and the amount of poverty on the lower Eastern Shore is noted.

*      If you missed the Trump circus at Stephen Decatur High, we have included an editorial overview from the Worcester County Times, April 28, 2016 issue.

*      Perhaps the most dangerous elected official in the US, Paul Ryan, rantings about the IRS are included.

*      Health in Worcester County is discussed.  Our folks are not as healthy as they should be.

*      AND the last page is our announcement and reservations form for our annual picnic, July 15.  We are open for business.

May 2016 Issue

April 2016

This issue is nine pages long, the last two pages (8 & 9) are forms for the Blue Campaign fund raising effort of the Central Committee and the Kennedy-King Dinner.

1. We have an interesting; opening item that considers what would happen if the voters chose Trump as president and both chambers of the U.S. Congress went Republican. Really scary stuff.

2. We offer a short form of The Core Values of the Democratic Party; never hurts to revisit them from time-to-time.

3. There is really an interesting discussion about the Supreme Court.

4. Why Trump carries the American Indian Name of Walking Eagle.

5. A note from Pat Murray, Executive Director of the Maryland Democratic Party.

6. A suggestion of why the Republican Party is in such disarray is offered.
